use dry rice, fill it to the top of whatever you are measuring and shake it about to settle it. when you remove the rice there is nothing to clean up afterwords.If I were you mike, I'd shave the heads (but not too much, to prevent valves tapping pistons) and stick with a stock head gasket. You may be able to push a shitload of BOOST, but since you are displacing less air, it will take you a long time to get up to good exhaust velocitied to drive a turbo. I took the opposite direction. I'm running Higher compression ratio, in lieu of lower boost pressures. My power curve on the dyno will be much more fluid and linear then yours. This, I believe, will yield an incredibly forgiving car on the street, and on the track. I'm curious as to why you made the decision to go with a low compression build, and what the purpose of said build will be.
